Skipper Parvez Rasool led bowling attack put J&K in strong position against Tripura after JK posted 315 runs in their first inning on the second day of the Group-C Ranji trophy tournament match at Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC, Mumbai on Tuesday.

At the end of day’s play, Tripura were 193 for the loss of six wickets, trailing J&K by 122 runs. Opener BB Ghosh was still at the crease for Tripura on defiant 86.

Earlier J&K were all out for 315 runs in their first inning. The lower order resistance from Aditya Pratap and Samiullah helped team to post 315 runs in first inning. Pratap got out after scoring 74 while as Samiullah scored 54. Among others who contributed in J&K posting 314 on board were, Pranav Gupta 55 and Ian Dev 59.

For J&K there is an excellent chance of pushing for the first inning lead points by bowling out Tripura before 315 run mark. They will need to get wicket of Ghosh early on third day to control the match.
